When a timing belt is removed from the timing drive, the engine can be susceptible to cam sprocket spring back. This can cause expensive damage to valves when they come into contact with the piston. The Dayco Camlock Tool eliminates this problem. This versatile tool simply locks and holds both camshaft sprockets firmly in place while the technician is working on the valve train. This enables a safe, time saving and trouble free work environment for sensitive timing drive work. It also allows precise fitment of the timing belt by keeping top dead center marks perfectly in line when refitting the timing belt.
