January 13, 2020 – Dayco, a leading engine products and drive systems supplier for the automotive, industrial and aftermarket industries, is investing in improving its operations in the Mexican, Central American and Caribbean regions.
Dayco is — and has always been — driven to help its customers succeed and to improve the everyday lives of end-users. For this reason, we realized the need and urgency to improve our operations in these countries by investing in launching products, technical training, sales and marketing support, and especially, logistics performance.
As a major step in this new commitment, on January 15, 2020, Dayco will start a new partnership with a third party logistics (3PL) service provider in Mexico City, which will be responsible for the distribution center.
Dayco has also recently promoted Marcelo Sanches, who was primarily responsible for South America, to have responsibility for all of Latin America. The marketing and logistics functions are also now included within the South American team, in order to provide greater synergy in the region, allowing the sharing of best practice and successful case studies.
“By 2020, our customers in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean can expect a big change in Dayco’s working processes. What is already good will be improved and whatever needs to be changed, the required adjustments will be made. We will enhance our logistics performance, product launches, branding and marketing functions, as we want Dayco to be the main solutions partner for our customers, which is the ultimate goal of all our efforts”, commented Marcelo Sanches, Aftermarket Director – LATAM.
In the coming months, the company expects to launch many new products. So, for this reason, it will have a dedicated team to provide the necessary market research and new product support. Dayco’s DNA is marked by innovation and product development projects with vehicle manufacturers. We also hold numerous patents and innovative original equipment (OE) solutions that are now available to the aftermarket.
“Dayco is a global company and partner to many of the world’s leading OE companies. We will therefore invest in marketing initiatives to strengthen our brand and support our product sales throughout Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. We want to provide our customers with the help they require, whether that’s in the form of general information and sales advice, or technical training to demonstrate our expertise to the professional technicians responsible for vehicle service and repair. Our customers can also expect an increased market presence through promotional and branding activity. Once again, I would like to emphasize that Dayco is a partner that is able to provide complete solutions. So, I would like to say to our customers that they can count on us,” commented Nathália Amorim, Marketing Supervisor – LATAM.
To ensure that the market has access to not only premium quality products, but also excellent availability and timely logistics performance, Dayco has chosen to partner with e2e Supply Chain Services, based in Mexico City, which, through its 3PL work, will be responsible for the distribution center.
“We have chosen to work with e2e to deliver a high quality service to our customers. The chosen partner has extensive market expertise, which will provide us agility, organization and high quality product delivery,” says Gustavo Queiroz, Aftermarket Latin America Logistics Manager.
